A nonprofit organization

Meta Spirituality Foundation

Restore the self. Restore the living world.

Human suffering and ecological loss are usually funded as two separate emergencies. We treat them as one system, because the work that brings a person back to life and the work that brings a forest or a seabed back to life belong to each other.

Everything we give away is built the way our research is built, which means brief, structured and measured, so that what we fund can be shown to work.

“I spent twenty years learning how a person stops suffering. The Foundation exists so that the answer is never limited to the people who can pay for it.”

Nina Verkoeyen, Founder

Restore people

Brief, measured protocols delivered free through mental health centers, so that the people who most need a way out of their suffering meet it without a price attached.

Restore place

Forests replanted and tended, and coastal waters cleared of the gear that kills the life in them, always with the communities who live beside them.

Protect what comes next

Children given language for what they feel, and given a living world worth inheriting, because both are the same act of care carried out early.

Our mission

To give the same thing to a person and to a place: the chance to begin again.

The Foundation carries the Meta Spirituality paradigm into the parts of the world that will never buy a program, and it restores the living systems that hold those same people up. One mission, carried out in three directions.

Nina Verkoeyen has spent more than twenty years teaching people how suffering ends at the level of identity, and the last several of them proving it in randomized controlled trials. The Foundation is where that work stops being a product and becomes a gift.

She gives the Foundation her method, her materials and her time, and every protocol the Foundation delivers is written by the same hand that wrote the programs sold by the Institute. [Add the concrete commitment here: the share of proceeds, the number of days a year, or the specific pledge you want to make public.]

The humanitarian work is not a department of the paradigm. It is the point of it: a worldview that ends personal suffering while leaving the living world in ruins would be a worldview that had not been understood.

The founder’s commitment.

Why this exists

Read Her Letter

What we fund

Four programs, each one measured.

We would rather fund a small thing that can be shown to work than a large thing that cannot. Every program below is delivered with partners on the ground and reported honestly, including when the result is smaller than we hoped.

OPEN NOW

One day inside a clinic

A special one-day version of The Meta Self protocol, delivered free inside mental health centers and measured with the same instruments used in our randomized trials.

For the person sitting in that room, it is the same material that others pay for, offered on the day they happen to need it.

Children

Stories and classes for children

School curricula, after-school classes and therapeutic stories read aloud, giving children language for what they feel before it hardens into a problem they will carry for thirty years.

Written for teachers to run themselves, in the languages of the schools that ask for them.

Land

Reforestation, globally

Native forest restoration with local partners across several regions, which means replanting, tending through the first fragile years, and counting the trees that survive rather than the seedlings that went into the ground.

A forest is not a number of trees planted. It is a number of trees still standing in ten years, and that is what we report.

Ocean

Marine life protection

Clearing abandoned octopus pots and ghost gear from Mediterranean seabeds, where discarded traps go on catching and killing for years after anyone stops collecting them.

The work is done alongside the fishing communities who live from those waters, because nothing recovers where the people are treated as the problem.

Where we are so far

Small numbers, honestly reported, growing every quarter.

[000]

People reached free of charge

Replace these with the real figures as soon as you have them, and never round them upward. A foundation that publishes modest numbers accurately is trusted far longer than one that publishes impressive numbers vaguely.

Kilograms of gear recovered

From the ground

The work, told by the people it reached.

Numbers show the scale of something. Only a person can show what it was like.

[A clinic in one city]

[Three or four lines from someone who sat through the one-day protocol, in their own words, with their permission.]

[A classroom]

[A teacher describing what changed in the room after the stories were read, or a line from a child, quoted with a parent’s consent.]

[A stretch of coast]

[A fisherman or a local partner describing what came out of the water and what has come back since.]

How we work

Four commitments we hold ourselves to.

We measure what we give

Every human program the Foundation delivers carries the same instruments used in our trials, so a gift is never justified by a story alone.

We work through people already there

Clinics, schools, conservation groups and fishing communities know their ground better than any foundation arriving from outside, so we fund them rather than replace them.

We report the failures too

A program that did not work is worth publishing, because the field learns from it and because donors deserve the truth they paid for.

We keep the overhead visible

Every annual report shows what was spent on programs and what was spent on running the organization, without softening either figure.

Monthly

A steady gift lets us commit to a school for a full year or to a planting site through the seasons when the young trees actually die.

One-time

Any amount goes straight into the four programs, and you can tell us which of them you want it to reach.

Meta Spirituality Foundation Inc. is a nonprofit organization registered in the United States. [Insert the tax status and EIN here once the determination letter is in hand, together with a line on the deductibility of gifts, and add the states where the Foundation is registered to solicit.] Donations are processed securely and receipts are issued for every gift.

Support the work

Give once, or give every month and let the work plan ahead.

Monthly gifts are the ones that change what we can promise a partner, because a clinic or a replanting site needs a commitment that lasts longer than a single transfer.

Partners and major gifts

Companies, family foundations and individuals funding a whole program or a whole region are welcome to speak with us directly.

Transparency

Everything a careful donor would want to read before giving.

The people most worth having as supporters are the ones who check first. These documents are published so they can.

FINANCIALS

Where the money went

Income, expenditure, program share and overhead, with the IRS filing attached.

ANNUAL REPORT

What we did this year

Programs, outcomes, and what we learned where results fell short.

GOVERNANCE

Who oversees the Foundation, plus conflict-of-interest and safeguarding policies.

Research

A person and a place can both come back. Help us prove it again.

Give once, give monthly, bring us into your clinic, your school or your stretch of coast, or simply tell someone this exists. Every one of those moves the work forward.
